Leonor Fini- great artist, intruguing persona. Her work conveys the dreamstate to me.
Mariko Mori is also quite interesting: www.mcachicago.org/MCA/exhi...ast/Mori/

I checked out the Mariko Mori link, it was great! (I think I'll go look up the links I used for the other artists I've put in when I get a chance) That's funny, because I've seen her work somewhere recently, but didn't have a name to put with it. Synchronicity.

I'm kind of in between favorite artists right now, I really like Remedios Varo. Probably my favorite artist is David Kroll, who makes realism look surreal. He lives here locally in Seattle, and I was disappointed to find out that he gave a (free) lecture last October that I didn't know about. pout. As a friend of mine says, I would clean his brushes just to spend some time in his studio.

I can't say I know much about art historians, I don't pay attention, I tend to just google around or look on Amazon when I want some info or a book. But a really well-researched writer with lots of personality does make for a more interesting and insightful read. Do you recommend anyone in particular?
